btw that deadspin article is kinda lame. criticizing his positions on political social issues.
all his positions on those social issues are in line with the catholic church.
filipinos are 80% catholic. the other 20% split is protestant or ******.
a 1/3 of filipinos are considered hardcore religious catholics.
catholic church has considerable political power in philippines.
can't apply american political views to another country. american *******ism can't work in philippines anymore than american right wing conservatism would work in norway.Comment

Floyd definitely looked better in the rematch when comparing the first fight but still obviously lost a step the rematch wasn't a very good performance for Floyd in my eyes.you think so? he might have slowed down a step but i thought he looked pretty sharp in the rematch...i dont even remember giving Chino a round in the rematch
sidenote- my boy just bought a $400 grill just for this fight yesterday...that **** is gonna get worked on May 2nd

in hindsight, beating up cotto is no more impressive than beating up algieri tbh.
cotto is a big name but is nothing special.
that cotto win has gone down in my rankings of pac greatest fights.Comment

That's true and I hate that Ethnocentrism because I imagine it's a blessing to have a big family in the Philippines. No condoms, mean more babies and a bigger population IS a source of economic power.btw that deadspin article is kinda lame. criticizing his positions on political social issues.

Still though the HIV/AIDS rate and other STD's are just as legitimate concerns.Comment

just looked it up out of curiousity. That's true and I hate that Ethnocentrism because I imagine it's a blessing to have a big family in the Philippines. No condoms, mean more babies and a bigger population IS a source of economic power.

philippines is considered a low hiv country.
less the 0.1%.
only 25,000 cases out of 90-100 mil. much lower than usa.
1/4 got it out of the country (sailors, foreign workers, vacation)
80% through gay sex.
besides condoms and birth control are not illegal in the philippines.
the issue (LIKE IN AMERICA) is whether to pass it out at school and govt issue of it.Comment

Against this version of Mayweather? Definitely.
When I watch Pacquiao, I still see him busting guys up. Sure he's getting slower and getting caught more, but he's still beating dudes down.
Floyd has reeeaaaallllly slowed down. He missed Maidana with shots he'd normally never miss with. He also allowed himself to get caught with shots he wouldn't have a few years ago.
I seriously think that Pacquiao has a shot.

The first fight could have been a draw or 7-5 either way. I scored it 7-5 for Floyd.you think so? he might have slowed down a step but i thought he looked pretty sharp in the rematch...i dont even remember giving Chino a round in the rematch
sidenote- my boy just bought a $400 grill just for this fight yesterday...that **** is gonna get worked on May 2nd
He clearly won the second fight but I thought he looked worse than the first. His last two fights are the worst performances of his career probably, and he's 38... the only question mark is Pac's chin, Pac is catching Floyd at a very good time, which is why I'm quietly confident of Pac getting a dominant win.Comment

I always thought he looked great in that fight also, but after watching it now, IDK he was falling in and seemed lazy at times. IMO the Oscar fight was his best all around performance. He was always at the right distance and once he would get cornered or backed up he was out of there.
Exactly how it seemed to me also.Comment
