Like Marquez said, don't be fooled by Manny's recent victories because when you see him face elite counter puncher then we'll really know what he has left. Algieiri, Rios, and to a lesser extent Bradley were all hand picked by Manny's team to build back up his confidence and support among fans. Those guys are B/C fighters who never stood a chance and one of them (Bradley) was still able to win several rounds on Manny and bloody his face.

I think we're going to see how much Manny actually has regressed on May 2nd.
Manny has slowed down but not as much as Floyd has slowed down. Floyd has been fighting slow flat footed fighters recently so his decline isn't that obvious, but you can really tell he's lost a couple steps when you watch the Maidana fights.

I think Manny is an even better fighter now than when he got knocked out. He's not the same monster he used to be, but he's thinking now. He's following Roach's game plan, he's not over committing, he's not being reckless to the point of giving up position and balance.

From what i've seen, Manny has a lot more in the tank, and judging by the way he's been training, it looks like he's taking this fight more seriously than he has in years. Every great fighter has at least 1 more great fight in him and Pac's ALWAYS been at his best when he has something to prove.

Mayweather's defense is hard to break but he's shown openings against southpaws, and he has never fought a southpaw as dynamic is Pacquiao. He has power in both hands. He doesn't just have to watch for the straight left, which he's open for, but also the right hook, which he's also open for. Pacquiao's speed and footwork will get him into position to land his shots.I don't think Floyd can match Pacquiao's footwork. I think Algieri has better legs than Floyd at this point.

Floyd has never fought a Southpaw with power in both hands, with the footwork, speed, volume, and aggressiveness that Pacquiao has. Judah might be faster and hit harder than Pacquiao but he's not a 12 round fighter, Judah is a 4 round fighter at best. Pacquiao is a 15 round fighter.

If this was 5 years ago, Pacquiao would have been easy work for Mayweather, but this is not 5 years ago.

Pacquiao is a more complete fighter now than he's ever been, and I think because of the occasion and event, he will condition his body to something close to his physical prime.

The poster above me is right: Mayweather is on steroids and synthetic testosterone. Whereas Manny is getting tested on the hour, by the hour. They're poking the shit out of that lil Filipino. Mayweather making sure of that.

The only reason Mayweather survived that round 3 Maidana right hand is because he is Super Mayweather, courtesy of the best roids money can buy. He can afford the best PED's -- and believe me -- he is on them 24/7 365 his testicles gon' done hide. The juice is what's keeping him alive... the king of the throne... don't believe me? just look at his dome.

So what I got from that news conference from Espinosa is that Mayweather was basically forced to take this fight. Part of the contract with showtime was that one of the fights had to be against Pacquiao. He was down to the last two fights and he had nowhere to go, he basically was forced to take the fight.

What was that about? Sipping that empty coffee cup non-stop through the duration of the news conference. Was he a little nervous? I'm kinda starting to feel sorry for Floyd.

There was a close up of the cup as he was moving it around his hands and flipping it sideways to read the sides of the cup. I've done the same thing before when you have an empty cup. It's not the same way as when you handle a cup with still some left.
