I agree with most of that. Lets face it if Floyd boxes and decides to move backwards there isn't a whole lot Manny can do in my opinion. If Floyd comes forward the fight gets much closer. I think a lot will depend on the first two rounds, which I think the majority will be spent in the middle of the ring. When Floyd fights in the middle of the ring he has been utterly dominant, it is like the other fighter is stuck in mud, for the majority of his career it has been like this. I wonder if this will be the case with Pacquiao who has also dominated most fighters in the middle of the ring, with the exception of Marquez.

Given that Maidana won some of the exchanges in the center of the ring its definitely possible Manny could as well. That's another reason why I posted about "what Floyd we get".

I don't think there will be much laying on the ropes by Floyd in this fight. I think he did this with Canelo because he wanted to see what they had. Maidana used his size to push and bully Floyd into the corner and wouldn't let him out. I don't think Manny can do that.

Seriously, i don't think the ref will be needed in this fight at all. Pacquiao doesn't fight on the inside at all and Mayweather mainly clinches people who try to rough him up like Maidana, Hatton, Castillo etc.

This will be a mid to long range fight. There's always the risk of a accidental headbutt but that's all really.

I totally agree. He won't spend much time there, and Manny will only put him there sparingly. I think it is important for Floyd to fight very side on and give Pacquiao very little target. I think if he uses the tight high guard, and squares up like he did a lot with Judah, he gives Manny a target to score points, so I don't think he should use those tactics. He had his hands lower against Ortiz and fought more sideways and I think that worked a bit better in that fight. I think he was wary of Judah's speed. But Manny is better than both those guys so who knows.

That fight of all fights? Why? Canelo was a walking corpse in there. It's the only reason Floyd fought him. Without a catch weight, Canelo would beat Floyd. He wasn't capable of pressuring Floyd due to his lack of energy, from draining himself to make weight. I bet you Floyd wouldn't DARE fight him again. I mean, he didn't really embarrass himself but Floyd embarrassed us real boxing fans by draining the kid.
