    • he defend both 147/154 Ring titles.

    • If Maidana had beaten him, he'd have become 147/154 Ring champion

    • as well as WBC/WBA 147

    • and WBC 154 champ.

As for TBRB, I don't follow them, they are full of ****. They're basically the same dudes who have Roman Gonzalez as #3 P4P on this site and act like elitist. I don't agree with Walters being over Johnny Gonzalez either. They also have Estrada as #9 P4P. Their list makes me vomit. Bradley over Wlad, wtf...
So you're saying Floyd is the catch weight king. We knew that. Defending the Jr middleweight title with a 147 pound limit is as bogus as it gets.

All Ward had to do was fight out of his contract. He only had 1 or 2 more. He could have fought Salka for all I care.

Yes. TBRB is a much better source for lineages than the RING these days.

For a definitive source, refer to Cliff Rold's ratings.

Yeah he won this cool little tournament then disappeared off the face off the earth only to pop up as a commentator on HBO years later. What a waste of a great talent in its prime.

I love Andre Ward, but this was long overdue. He should have been stripped some time back. If he wants me to believe that he is still the best then he needs to actually continue to prove that statement. Yes, he wiped out the Super 6 tournament and that was incredible. But, since then, he hasn't continued to show himself as the best in that division. Whereas, Froch has been cleaning up shop since then. I'll take a really good resume built over the years above one built over a single moment. My hope is that Andre comes back and completely cleans out the division, leaving no questions and goes on to do the same in a higher division, as well. But, until he starts fighting again, I don't even rank him.
