He says in the future. Injuries and promotional issues have got in the way. I'm sure he will move up and he should eventually but not while there are still big fights at 168.
On Saturday night in Carson, California, WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KOs) dominated Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26 KOs) to advance to the finals of the Super Six Boxing Classic. He waits for the winner of the upcoming Super Six semi-final bout between Carl Froch with Glen Johnson, scheduled for June 4 in Atlantic City. Beyond the Super Six, Ward would like to face undefeated IBF champion Lucian Bute of Canada, and eventually would consider a move in weight to capture a second divisional title at light heavyweight.
Oh well

What fights? Dirrell?
I wouldn't mind seeing Ward fight a couple guys at 175 to test the waters. He has beat everyone at 168 worth beating.
Tune ups should be happening at LHW.Last edited by Beercules; 02-19-2015, 12:09 AM.Comment

I will say this though...
Ward made a BIG mistake signing with Roc Nation....That was a ****** move IMO...For some reason Andre has a habit of going against the grain so to speak when it comes to business matters...Difficulties with Goossen, association with J. Prince, haggling over cash & location.... it just seems like theres always some kinda b.s. going on...
Hopefully Ward irons out his affairs soon & gets back in the ring....Comment

Why are you just making **** up now? Hopkins admitted he would never fight Ward. Dirrell was the one who pulled out of the Super Six. He's not at Light Heavyweight yet so no need to fight Kovalev, Pascal or Stevenson yet.
Are you guys really this desperate not to see him in with Golovkin?
