It seems that no one is really interested in HW unification fights. Neither promoters nor boxing organizations seem to be interested in this. Has this become the new status quo?
Will there be a HW unification tournament?

Well, now that two belts are out of King's hands, then they would be smart to unify them (IBF and WBC) and make King's titlists that much less legitimate. Steward eluded to the fact that if Wlad beats Byrd, they were looking at the WBC belt (which would be the winner of Rahman-Maskaev 2).
If anyone succeeds in unifying the WBC and IBF, it'll be Wlad, and then that's that. He will be the unified HW champion and can pretty much ignore King's paper champs and demand for options. People in the boxing world will want to see Wlad-Brewster 2, but in the grand scheme of things, the public doesn't have a clue who Brewster is, so King has no leverage whatsoever.
The less leverage Don King has, the better it is for the HW division. -
unification nope, brewster vs rock is the only unify bout i can see happening, ruiz wants valuev again and wlad is trying ot get a belt back from byrd, so any unifcation untill the years end or early next year? i doubt itComment
