Anyway I don't want to get "side - tracked " to the topic at hand. But in truth, I grew up with Dominicans and to be brutally honest I never met one that could fight. In fact, any time they scrapped with the latest arrivals of Latin immigrants more notably Ecuadorians it was always PR's that had to bail them out.

But, you know what? This is about boxing so let's stick to the theme while I eat my tostones with mojito.
This guy is fabricating stories. Keep Dominicans name out of your mouth already. You made two posts here, both are insulting Dominicans. You are clearly fabricating and exaggerating stories. You say you didn't come in here to get side tracked but continued with your insults and then end up saying, "Oh let's stick to boxing, but this is my second post popping off though. I'll probably make a third one." Stick to plucking your eyebrows Ricky Martin.

I think if DR had some good trainers, that could change. Trainers make a big difference. What if Mexico didn't have Nacho Beristain?

Although DR and PR are free to export their talents the difference between the two is that DR culture when it comes to boxing is not as big or as hardcore starting from the ams and therefore they lack a decent number of good coaches . Although Cuba can't export said talent, they do however export their coaches all over the world because that's where it all starts. They have a lot and every coach has 2 or 3 guys learning from them to be able to train the next generation of fighters and coaches when it's their turn, and that's how they keep up and grow boxing culture. No knowledge goes to waste, and it is spread and passed on. I don't think DR has that type of culture yet when it comes to boxing not strong enough just yet.

It's not about numbers it's about the amateur system they have in place or lack thereof of. Compare the amateur systems in Ireland to DR. That tells the story.
