Obviously he struggles to make the weight of 154, so why you gonna kill yourself to make it when your throwing cash at guys like Lara and Kirkland who yes, are good fighters but are not in any position to make him come down to 154. Canelo uses the leverage because he's the one who brings in the money and the other guys are jumping at a shot to make that money. So it's easy for him to say **** it, we're fighting at 155.

But tbh, look who he's used the weight against. Angulo, who's a middle weight now, Lara who is a big JMW, and now Kirkland who's also a big JMW.

I agree it's disrespectful but he's not exactly dragging WWs up to 155, nor is he dragging superstars up or down to JWW
I haven't heard anyone but NSB complain about it.
Well he used to bring jww to 154, actually the wbc gave him the belt when he fought a non clasified ww in hatton, at a catch weight thet he himself missed...

i dont debate that, but thats not the topic here... i never said you were wrong, just in the wrong thread...

Hard rules become flexible if you can sell enough tickets.

Well, isnt he just the devil himself.

And I know, Canelo is the only one in boxing who has done something like this.

I'm still wondering what's the point, are we supposed to stop liking him now?

but he doesnt seem to struggle making 155 yet..
by the way lara has more fights over 154 than canelo and no one complains..
the Lara fight should have been a title fight and he still refused to do 154.
