As far as Lara's early fights above 154, like it has been said most fighters have fights above their weight class early in their careers. Lightweights have fights between 135 and 140 lbs., Jr. Middleweights between 154 and 160 lbs. etc. It happens all the time. Catchweights... smh. Lara is not a particularly big Jr. Middleweight, and until proven otherwise he has no problems making 154.

Canelo has a hard time making 154 without weakening himself. Let's not forget he was about to miss weight against Angulo in a fight that was originally supposed to happen at 154. Canelo couldn't make weight that day, period. Counting Kikrland, that's now 3 fights in a row at a catchweight of 155 pounds for Canelo.

He will never fight at super welterweight again. He can't make the weight.

            Canelo's a Middleweight.

                How does that work?
As far as I know, Canelo has never fought for or defended a title at the 155lb limit.

Many non title fights between fighters supposedly in a certain weight class can take place at a weight higher than that division limit.
So he is still a JMW, what's your point?

I think it's official. Canelo fans are all about denying reality.

He wants none of it at 160.
