If we do get someone to really succeed greatly at the world level, he's gotta be a true puncher. Only chance.
I was just speculating wildly on Jacobs/Mundine there...but i'm just saying i wouldn't be surprise. Jacobs fighting April, most these guys getting signed around then. Unless it's Lara... I think it's Jacobs.

But Jacobs said we'd really like the fight....soooooo

Wilder Brown would be good because its one of those ones where whoever lands first will take it but Browne isn't much beyond being big and strong with a punch, Wilder should be too long and fast and connect first.

Lara will wipe the floor with mundine, mundine could be described like a poor mans Lara.

Browne is a big strong guy, but he's slow and pretty easy to hit. With Wilder's length and 1-2, Browne will be down and out before the start of the 2/3 mark
Browne is flawed no doubt but Wilder himself is not some untouchable fighter. He can get hit and his chin is still questionable.

That fight would be pretty good imo. Geales busy in there and Cotto brings it, could actually be a cracker. Common sense says Cotto would break him down though. Geale is the bigger man and is probably a touch quicker but his durability isn't the world class kind you need against a body puncher like Cotto.

Mundine is finished as a fighter, Lara should coast to an easy win but it would still make for a better match up than the likes of Ishe Smith etc.

Agreed on the Browne part, whoever lands first most likely takes it.

Yeah no doubt Mundines done. He's a great athlete but his abilities have eroded pretty considerably.

Bit of a waste of potential, he had the ability to actually hang with some pretty good fighters in his prime, if he had stepped up more. Financially though, the guys seen more money than any fighter outside the top guys. Pretty shrewd businessman old choc.

Good post. I thought this about 2 weeks ago. It's an actual MW, pretty good all round boxer and not great power. I'd rather that than bradley or rios.
especially if cotto is still testing the waters at MW!!!
