  • Comments Thread For: Shaw: We Won't Allow Klitschko Tactics, He Will Work

Undefeated heavyweight contender Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10KOs) will have a tough task at hand on April 25th at New York's Madison Square Garden, when he faces WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53KOs), who is undefeated since April 2004.

Jennings' promoter Gary Shaw is expecting a different outcome. Klitschko turns 39-years-old next month and Shaw wonders if age will finally catch up with the dominant heavyweight king.

A strategy is being put together to prevent Klitschko from using some of his usual fight tactics, but the champion's hard jab is still the equalizer in most defenses.

Bryant Jennings is shorter, but he has a longer reach.

Shaw is right: Bryant is younger, more athletic, faster - he's an all-round superior fighter to Klitschko.

If you have money to bet, be smart and put it on Jennings.

Jennings is younger and has a slightly longer reach. Those are the only advantages he has.

Easy win for Wlad -- even Briggs might have been tougher.

Jennings is overrated and clumsy, and almost got KO'd by Bowie Tupou.

This one is over within three rounds.

            Jennings, Fury could easily beat.

            Wladimir?

            We'll see about that.

Yeah right, like any ref is going to bother stopping Wlad from cheating. He's basically immune to the rules at this point.

Not to mention he got a gift decision in his last fight against an overweight Mike Perez.

Shaw has the "blueprint", I guess huh....just like every other shorter fighter that tried to get under Klits guard and had little to no effect...I think Pulev had a little success by doubling up those punches instead of throwing haymakers and actually made contact with Klit and Klit look worried...for about 5 seconds....but the rest of the fight went the same way as most others..
