Former three division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (59-8, 42KOs), 46-years-old, is going to continue his career on March 6th at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in North Carlina, according to a report in the Charlotte Observer. The fight was scheduled for March 7th, but it got pushed back a day and had a venue switch by local promoters. The opponent will be fringe cruiserweight fighter Willie Williams of Baltimore, who has a record of 14-8-2 and 4 knockouts. Williams believes Jones is way past his best and plans to send the aging veteran into retirement.

He shouldn't continue fighting but if he's going to then I don't mind Jones fighting journeymen like this guy because the risk of him getting hurt is very low. Four of his last 5 fights have been at a similar level and he's won them all convincingly.

I was excited for his comeback because he wanted to knock some ufc heads off. But now I agree no reason to take more damage at this point especially with no title aspirations.

Almost tempted to drive up there for it. These are some fairly low risk fights at this stage, but he seems to enjoy them and hasn't been hurt in the past 5 or so. He could probably do this level for another 5 years if he wanted to. Wouldn't mind seeing him do a show in Biloxi or even Pennsacola.
