Over the last few years a number of Russian fighters have either debuted on American soil or relocated to the States in search for better career opportunities. Some of them have signed deals directly with American-based manager or promotional companies. Others chose to retain links with their Russian handlers in order to develop their fan base at home while staying active and honing their skills against local opponents.

Lol at Shafikov gets another title shot. Against Vazquez he looked like a bum. I don't like to say things like this about boxers but he really looked dumb and flatfooted in the ring. Bey is another style but he will beat him too.

No, you'd rather hype Bey who got a shot right after the Molina ko and who got a belt via gift decision.

Who hyped Bey? Jesus... but in the opposite of Shafikov, Bey at least imo beat Vazquez by a tight decision. He didn't look good but definitely looked better than Shafikov who just walked straight into Vazquez's shots all night long while he barely won a few rounds.

Have you actually seen Vazquez vs Shafikov? Vazquez got away with Wlad levels of clinching in that fight. Seriously, it was every bit as bad as Wlad vs Povetkin.

Shafikov will beat Bey, just watch. He might not get the D, but he is a better fighter than Bey and will prove it in the ring.

I saw what I saw, he couldn't do nothing with Vazquez. Wether he beats Bey or he doesn't he's still not better than a C class fighter, sorry. Lightweight is probably the weakest division in boxin right now. Probably Gamboa and Abril are the only solid at least B level fighters in this weight and Gamboa is not even a tru lightweight.
