WBO mandatory challenger Tyson Fury threatened to report police officers ‘for jealousy’ when he was stopped trying to dodge queuing traffic on the M6 by driving up the hard shoulder.
The British champion told officers: “I’m a boxer, I’m a superstar, I’m a celebrity!” when he was stopped at the wheel of his Mitsubishi Shogun on the outskirts of Preston on April 18th of last year.
Fury was not present at Preston Magistrates Court for his trial, claiming to be suffering from a bout of diarrhea.
