Glen Tapia and Jessie Vargas fighting unsanctioned/exhibitions?

    Glen Tapia and Jessie Vargas fighting unsanctioned/exhibitions?

    Purely by coincidence I notice univision is showing Boxeo Tecate, Tapia and Vargas against some bums.

    I figured it was some old show, but then the commentators bring up Tapia's loss to Kirkland "Canelo's next opponent", and even Tapia's upcoming fight in Macao. So I look up Tapia's boxrec and the only thing on schedule is the Dawson fight, as for Vargas, nothing after DeMarco.

    What gives? Are these fights so low profile that boxrec disregards them completely? lol

    Mystery Solved. Old fights, new commentary. Weird, but it is what it is.

      They only really count them if they're sanctioned by somebody I guess.

      If these are just exhibitions.... they're that.

      Did Tapia have headgear on? He has a fight in 2 weeks

          No head gear. It was an 8 rounder though.

          Vargas is apparently fighting at 147, 10 rounder. Think he got dropped early (wasn't paying too much attention).

              Tapia vs Dos Santos
              Vargas vs Omotoso

              Commentary is clearly recent though. What an odd thing to do.
