He is actually a pretty good fighter even if eventually being broken down by Kovalev.
Cedric had a somewhat decent strategy against him but was impacted too much trying to catch Kovalev's hard punches on his gloves then counter.
He was somewhat able to exploit Kovalev's tendecy to step straight back after throwing (something Kovalev appeared to have fixed for the Hopkins fight).
He definitely has some potential and may be an underrated win for Kovalev.
Really didn't do much against Kovalev besides catch head shots...However no shame in that, got a decent payday & gained some valuable experience...Needs work if he's to reach world class level IMO...
You know you're fucked when your parents dress for a funeral to go to your big fight
LOL. Nontheless I think Agnew is actually pretty decent - he was a quality amateur and has looked (from the almost non-existant footage available) dominant in his other fights. Just happened to run into the World's premier LHW on his step up - ooops - and employed a strategy that could only (in hindsight) lose him the fight.
Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Cedric hanging around the 175 top ten for a few years once he builds himself back up.
