Comments Thread For: Robert Garcia: Miguel Cotto vs. Brandon Rios is a War!

Former champion Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios has already stated that he's willing to head up to 154-pounds for the right money and the right fight, which includes a catch-weight bout with WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Rios' name has been mentioned, along with former champion Timothy Bradley, as possible options to face Cotto in June.

Cotto has been inactive since last June's TKO of Sergio Martinez and Rios returned to the ring in January when he demolished Mike Alvarado.

Rios Alvarodo 3 was like a glorified version of bum fights. Rios looked a little less brain damaged in that fight but I dont really want to see him blown up to 154. Why doesnt he just fight Ortiz, thats a spectacle, and it would be entertaining. Cotto on the other hand has the middleweight title, can he honor that and fight a true middle weight, its been 8 months since he took that belt off the ghost of Sergio Martinez.

Rios could prolly last the full twelve but he takes a terrible beating in the process...He went the distance with Pac so there stands a reasonable chance that he could do the same vs Cotto...
