Yea good fundamentals and footwork, no pop on his punches though. Porter's probably going to bull rush him all night without any worrys.Comment

Berto has a really bad reputation now as an "exciting opponent". He's Brian Vera now. He's got heart, he makes an entertaining fight. But he will get knocked down, maybe a couple times. He'll get back up and fight courageously to the end in the losing effort, making his opponent look good
. Its a fight to get Lopez back into the WW mix.

Lopez beats Berto, which sets him upto fight Khan, sad but true.
Anyway Porter probably blasts through this dude he's facing, and Cornflake although on another show I think, he gets stopped or loses UD to far too early for him to face a puncher like DouglasComment

I noticed this, I just didn't want to be the first one to say itHas anyone noticed this dynamic through the first 2 PBC cards?
Thurman-Guerrero, Broner-Molina Jr., Berto-Lopez, Porter-Garcia. All 4 main show fights pit an African-American vs. a Mexican-American. Black vs. Hispanic. The same applies to the main event of the next NBC card in terms of Hispanic vs. Black at least.
Targeting boxing's two biggest fanbases in America.
. Mayweather has made a living off this matchup for the last several years, and perhaps they want to use this formula to maximize tv ratings potential. The first two shows, 4 bouts, are black vs latino. The main event of the next NBC network show is Dany Garcia vs Peterson. The undercard bout will be the first not pitting a black fighter against a latino, as Kid Chocolate fights Andy Lee.
