I would want to know why after fighting nothing but C level fighters would you take on Miguel Cotto?

I would have asked him how his hands were and how long he expects to be in the sport because as a real die hard fan and someone who loves all fighters Im stunned why you would go after Cotto so damn soon unless your shelf life is not going to be long due to your hands. "So Paullie level with one of your fans-how long can your hands take being a profesional prize fighter"

I would have tried to frame it as if I was a huge fan of his too so I didnt piss him off...

Your the man Baya-a good old Puerto Rican shootin the **** with an Italian who is squaring off against his boy...more people should learn from this. IWATCHBOXING would have made a ketchup bomb and dropped it on Paulie from atop a balcony...but not you my man!
all we had was time when we first met, i actually really curt w/ him at first, trying to be considerate that a lot of people ask him all sorts of questions but he was totally receptive to us. i was so on the cusp of asking about the fight and on that thread but he just blew me away w/ how good of a guy he was. 180 degrees from when hes in front of a camera, but i never fell for that schpiel. honestly, he was the kind of guy that you can develop a rapport in 5 mins and we walked away real happy that we got to meet him. my wife says she'll be rooting for paulie now - shes totally star struck, paulie basically closed the deal for me going to many more fights w/ the wife and not having to explain why i wanna go see these fighters, what they mean ... you know that whole 20 questions.

It's pathetic that Paulie was alone in AC. He should've had ho's left and right but he's left checking out girls w/ their bf's, LOL

dude alot of times you just wanna be left the **** alone if you're a contender and there's a buzz about u. he most likely needed a breather from all the attention everyone has been giving him.

good move staying cool when guys are eyeing your lady...not only does it show your lady that you're a mixture of confident, classy and easygoing, but it also lets the guys staring know that you're confident in yourself & automatically know you're better than him, or them, in her eyes, to begin with.

Im sure Paulie is a great guy in person-I have never met a fighter or trainer that was not overly engaging-they sell their sport unlike Football or basball players-boxers are the best. (except the likes of Oscar and Tyson who are engaging but they get recognized and mobbed)

Now-about Paulie the fighter...I dont consider him a contender-ABSOLUTELY NOT...the guy has done absolutely nothing to be considered a contender...Miguel Cotto is a contender therfore calling Paulie one as well is disrepectful to a guy like Cotto who has faced a lot of real good rfighters to get to this current status-this fight smells like David Reid, if I was a betting man Malinaggii is not in the sport of boxing in 3 years.

His hand problems have forced him to grab the money and run just like David Reid did.

i concur, i too share the feeling that this has a david reid type feel to it, too premature. yeah, an oscar or tyson type - i wouldn't even bother to take 2 steps in their direction. i just hope that he's making a cool million off of this fight w/ cotto and if things don't go his way on the 10th - he has the money and the guy honestly has enough charisma/personality for 5 people to have a successful go at commentary/something television.

dude, come down from WA so we can see the fight in MSG baby!

I would love too but that fight doesnt get me too excited.

I have already put my wife on notice that if /when Calzaghe fights in the states Im there-no matter where.
