Is Bob Sapp the biggest joke/***** in combat sports?

No I agree it was a joke fight. I didn't say Valuev was a joke because of that fight, you brought it up.
The 5 punches a round Valuev landed were grazing punches mostly. There was no doubt as to who should have won that fight.Comment

I think in actuality Valuev is a little underrated for being so abnormally large and slow and still being able to compete. He schooled the living daylights out of Liakhovich, and did well enough to beat Ruiz, who was always a handful for most fighters. The only clear robbery was the Donald fight.Comment

I don't think so. I think his skills were abysmal but the sheer size of him was just too much for people to overcome.I think in actuality Valuev is a little underrated for being so abnormally large and slow and still being able to compete. He robbed a few guys. Holyfield won clearly in my book. like 10-2 or something.Comment

He clearly had an understanding and a toolset of basic boxing. His size was more of a hindrance, giving him some of the slowest hands the sport has ever seen. Holyfield really did next to nothing in their fight. He probably landed the same vs Valuev as Valuev landed vs Haye.Comment

Oh yeah no doubt there's a lot of fixes going on over there.you know he takes dives right?
japs love seeing giant black dudes get beat up.
jap mma is famous for this.
mark coleman took a dive against jap wrestling star takada.
next year coleman gets favorable matchups in grand prix tournament.
rampage takes a dive to sakuraba 1st pride fight, bam gets 20 high paying fights with pride including a bunch of soft touches.
don frye let jap judo champ yoshida armbar him and let gary goodridge ko him for gary's retirement fight.
But he really got his **** pushed in by Cro Cop - nothing fake about that.Comment

Right at the beginning of Bob's career he was seen as an intimidating fighter. He was very aggressive and the early wins he had were down to his opponents having no idea how to handle him.
.. Enter K-1 legend Ernesto Hoost. The old man lost twice to him but showed Bob's weaknesses. Eventually K-1 fighters and mixed martial artists in Pride, Heroes etcetera eventually worked out how to beat the man.
I'll give Bob his dues. Entertaining and made some serious cash in his career doing fights, commercials in Japan.. He's still wrestling for Antonio Inoki in Japan. He wrestled in Pyongyang, North Korea last year.Comment
