Comments Thread For: Kiko Martinez, Gabriel Campillo Ink With Al Haymon

Add two more to the list. BoxingScene.com has been advised the former champions Kiko Martinez (32-5, 24KOs) and Gabriel Campillo (25-6-1, 12KOs) have inked agreements with powerful adviser/manager Al Haymon.

Martinez, a former IBF super bantamweight champion, is still one of the top contenders in his weight class. Since December of 2009, only Carl Frampton has been able to beat Martinez, who picked up wins over Hozumi Hasegawa, Jeffrey Mathebula and Jhonatan Romero.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Kiko in there with LSC or something.

Campillo probably gonna be used to build somebody up

    So what?
    2 losers... big whoop.

Both are done at the elite level.

All Martinez did was beat a kid and a past prime fighter so he can be whooped by the decent fighters of the division.
Campillo gets KTFO by anybody half decent at LHW

Kiko is at 118 now correct? I hope he's not planning on putting Warren in there with him.

Yes, he just dropped and might be facing Payano shortly. I think Tomoki vs Kiko is a good scrap with a high possibility of getting made since both are under Al.

Good call. Payano is with Haymon now that he took Tyson's fighters.

Yea I hear the Payano stuff too.

Sucks for Yamanka getting shut out now with Haymon signing all the 118 guys.
Only one is Caballero.... but I hope Oscar tries to make it because that's a good fight.

I also think him and Iwasa beat him

You cant build an empire with only great fighters. You need em all from f fighters on up.

This answers the questions posters have about how all plans to develop his young fighters. He needs name guys that as teddy atlas said have 30% chance to win. Not big signings but important ones.
