No, it has more to do with how people speak freely on the internet. They say things they normally wouldn't say to ones face. Hating on a fighter is sometimes more about pissing their fans off. I think most people like Pacquiao. Its Mayweather that's hard to like for most people.

hopefully his militant-****** stans (the real answer to this question) will be gone from the internet by the end of this year because there's no real reason to hate manny, he's an awesome fighter inside the ring and barely speaks english. how that is offensive to any true boxing fan is beyond me.
