So many times I have been enjoying a thread, when out of nowhere a groupie will post something unrelated and turn it into a boxers "greatest hits", with people trying to justify every minute detail of a boxers life.

I made a valid observation in a thread reply sometime ago. The poster had no answer or alternative, so I was PM'd and told "you don't know s**t", or something like that. I wasn't bothered in any way, but disappointed that some people still have that mentality, which again contributes to the uneven basis of some discussions.

None of this is to judge anyone, each to their own. But a simple fact is that I visit this site as it offers a wide range of posters globally and insight of other boxing markets, which seems to have narrowed in focus to make room for lack of respect and possible racial barbs.

I like both fighters IN THE RING as they are...I can only "judge" by their fights and their prowess, skills and tendencies as both present unique qualities that makes them both, arguably, the most enviable position to be a boxer.

I am not just talking about their financial gains...really don't care about those.

So I cannot "like" or "dislike" any of both based on what is outside the ring issues.

Manny Pacquiao's prowess is commendable in the light that he tackled anybody in his sight and just fight. He has grown from the usual 1-1-2 and now relatively a more complete fighter. Known for the obvious speed, footwork, strength, durability and tenacity - he can pose serious challenges to Floyd.

Floyd's strength is his defense. Everything revolves around his uncanny ability to be still and move about his opponent's blows and with accuracy- landing those pot-shots. His angulations, timing, distance and presence is noted. Arguable one of the very best DEFENDERS in the ring of all time...perhaps at the least, at par with Willie Pep and Whitaker in deft and subtlety.

Manny is the "lesser" among the two greatest of our era in terms of technical skills but he is of no slouch as a fighter because he makes up for it with dizzying array of arsenals in his combination punches coming from different angles and agile that only Floyd can rival in accuracy.

Both have never faced a caliber of each other's prowess and it is a must to see both fight NOW though it's been 5-6 years too-late.

That's all I want to see because ego sets in...both camps of followers have the bandwagon to show "******ities" and blind-allegiance, but that's human nature.

All we know is his public image. He could be a total d1ck or he could be a great guy. None of us know for sure but i really don't think he is a great upstanding citizen like people think.
