No ****ing way. Lara would beat Cotto down, I'm very, very confident about that.

Let's see Lara has no fan base and he's a high risk low reward fight. Sounds nothing like the type of fighter Cotto is looking for.
Cotto's done it before, though. I can't imagine he'd do it again, but he might.

So he chooses to fight a guy that will beat him but brings virtually no fanbase instead of a guy that will beat him but would guarantee him $10 million plus 60% PPV upside?
              Sure...

I think it would be more exciting than Canelo/Lara simply because Cotto is more offensive than Canelo. It's not a bad fight if it happens.

LOL @ the comment if he loses, he will find a new trainer. It's true! His fanboys will go from seeing Roach as a god to shit status. They did it with his previous trainers like Stewart & Diaz.

If Cotto has really turned down Canelo to fight Lara, it will one of the most baffling moves I have ever seen a fighter make in this sport.

All of this talk about fanbase. Casual fans say some ****** **** but I'm sure they know that Cotto vs. Lara would be a better fight and event than Bradley.

Bradley will want more money for taking the risk without bringing any fanbase to the table. Their name recognition is a wash. Lara is actually probably more known because the Cotto fans that will be buying tickets likely follow Canelo's career and there is a large percentage of people who think Lara beat Canelo.

So why pay Bradley that high Top Rank minimum for no extra PPV buys, no extra ticket sales, no extra advertisement money? And then there is the issue of whether the WBC will approve Bradley to fight for the middleweight title.

                      Good points.

I wonder if this means cotto would not involve top rank and fight on showtime? I understand if he gets floyd but I don't know if he'd want to burn that bridge for Lara.
