Comments Thread For: Porter Feels Guerrero-Thurman is Too Close To Call

Former IBF champion Shawn Porter is currently in the middle of his training camp for his March 13th showdown against Roberto Garcia on the inaugural boxing card on SpikeTV. The fight takes place in Ontario California and will be televised along with another welterweight clash that pits Andre Berto against Josesito Lopez.

He said that he was already in shape when he started his training camp and that they are already doing 12 rounds in camp.

Agree 100% . Don't think its gonna be an easy fight for either one . 50/50 fight imo. Siding with Guerreros experience and toughness on this one... and also think Broner has a hard nights work ahead of him with Molina .

Porter needs to STFU, stay being a sparring partner.

Also agreed that it's a close 50-50 fight and I'm also going with Guerrero's experience. I think Thurman is still overrated untested, and that the Ghost is underrated, considering his change from an outside fighter at lightweight to a grittier inside fighter at welterweight. People forget how good Guerrero was as an outside fighter and I think Thurman's going to find out just how good when they fight.

definitely a step up for one time but i think he edges it in a war. both are proud warriors but the ghost has been pretty inactive since mayweather and he didnt look very good against kamegai last time out.

if anyone wants to bet please pm me. i got keith.

I think it is a close fight, and if Thurman does win I will take off my "I hate Thurman hat" and give him his dues.
