Alfonso Gomez vs Yoshihiro Kamegai March 20th

According to Alfonso Gomez himself... should be a fun fight for FS1, both guys are going to bring it.
Alfonso is my favorite boxer from Season 1, but I think he's a little too far in age...had that good win over Paredas though

Pretty decent fight for FS1. Kamegai been there before against Jorge Silva and fought to a draw.

Alfonso getting up there and age, but he might still have it in him to tame the Japanese slugger

I thought he did well in the Canelo fight, although everyone doesn't think so

That's his last fight, got knocked down twice....but IMO weren't really KD's... punches landed while he was slipping or off balance, but KD's none the less.

I thought he looked good and he can most likely beat Kamegai.... WBC belt win though.... ehhhhhh

yeah he did good against canelo. the stoppage was a little premature if i remember right. kamegi was in a brutal fight last year against the ghost. so they should match up well. what weight is this fight at?

He didn't say, but I'm assuming 147 because he's talking ranking

Good matchup. Kamegai will keep coming all night but Gomez will box the breaks off him. Kamegai couldn't handle Guerrero on the outside at all but Guerrero made life a lot harder for himself slugging it out with him after the first round. Gomez won't make that mistake.

Should be a good fight, this year is going to be good, even without the big fight.
I've only seen Kamegai fight against Guerrero, but he fought a game fight and despite losing on the cards, I would watch him anytime.

That was Gomez coming off a 2 year lay off too. He'll be in better shape this time around.
