Comments Thread For: Jermain Taylor Ordered By Judge To Get More Therapy

Jermain Taylor's psychiatrist says the former middleweight champion has been a complete "gentleman" at his lockdown mental facility ever since he was arrested on gun charges ... and is begging the judge to let him out.

As we previously reported, an Arkansas judge ordered Taylor to undergo a complete mental and physical evaluation after several disturbing incidents -- including an altercation at the Martin Luther King parade in Arkansas where Taylor allegedly pulled a gun on a family and another incident where he shot his cousin.

I hope this dude gets better. It seems clear that his coming back has accelerated the deterioration of his mind. This is looking like an NFL player dealing with CTE.

So - 'when he's sober and stays away from guns he's 'not a danger'' LOL. That's reassuring.

This ^. And I lost all respect for Lou DiBella for jumping back on board when he saw the $ signs. Jermaine should never have been allowed back in the ring after the AA loss.

Whatever the results of the medical tests no one close to Taylor coulda failed to notice that he was unravelling. The look in his eyes before the Soliman fight was like he'd come straight from the psych ward or a war zone. Only in boxing would a guy like that be allowed to expose himself to further head trauma.

I wonder what exactly occurred, what exact injuries caused him to have these problems. Some guys that have been brutally KO'd are perfectly fine, the majority have some sort of emotional issues, bipolar/schizo it seems like.
