Boxingscene Exclusive: Shannon Briggs; "I'm next for Rahman"

While working the Heavyweight Slugout 2 fight card last night in Fort Smith as an inspector for the revitalized Arkansas Athletic Commission, I watched a transformation take place in Shannon Briggs camp and in Briggs himself as reports came in on the Rahman - Toney bout. Briggs is just as deserving as Maskaev, which is 'not very'.

Makes no difference. **** is ****.

The guy is ranked number 1. There should at least be some decency in all of this.

No there shouldn't, becuase the fact he's ranked #1 in the first place is indecent.

given that he is ranked # 1, he should fight next; it would only cause more indecency

in any case, who should be ranked above him?

                Many people.

When's the last time Maskaev beat a top ten fighter?

He has no business fighting for a title. Neither does Briggs, so no matter who's fighting, it's ****ty.

Rahman has no business being the champion after that fight, Maskaev suits him just great.
