So much hypocrisy in this thread, the fans of GGG are really doing him a disservice, although they seem to be scared of Ward I'm sure GGG is more than up for the challenge.

That being said, the bold is true and it also applies to a Ward vs Kovalev fight so people should quiet down and relax for a bit. Ward deserves at least one tune up to see where his skills are at, contrary to popular fan belief, not every fighter returns from a long layoff firing on all cylinders..........

Actually that's probably not true. Kovalev accepted $500k for the Hopkins fight. I'm willing to bet he'd be thrilled with La Bomba's paycheck, with Ward taking his usual $2-2.5mill.

Ward took a tune-up/stay busy fight I believe right before Kessler. He fought at 171lbs and man, he looked fantastic. Obviously his opponent wasn't impressive but Ward was packing some serious firepower in his fists. If he can make 168 comfortably, fine. But I for one am eager to see him move up to 175.

He was a light heavy in 3 round boxing fights. He already looks pretty small at 168, why should he move up? Ward has the opportunity to become the greatest 168 lbs fighter ever and he should pursue it.
