    Prize Fighting or Boxing?

Anytime a case is made that modern day fights are boring, the common response is it is called "Boxing."

    What if it weren't?

How about we leave boxing alone and invite fighters to come over to prize fighting? The inside fighters would no longer have to chase opponents around the ring. If a guy starts running, he gets points taken away and eventually disqualified. The rules would focus on two guys going toe-to-toe. No boxing, no running, just business.

Would anyone on here watch that?

A league filled with Maidanas, Provodnikovs and GGG's?

    I know I'm there.

You should watch the UFC, its the closest thing to the human c*ckfighting that you just described.

Boxing should stay as it is. I have no interest in watching a brawler if I know they're not capable of beating other styles.

Nah. I believe in a fighter wearing the boxing gloves. And I did not say anything about changing boxing. Call it prize fighting- a totally different sport really.

You want to dumb down boxing by forcing them into not using their advanced styles and strategies?

Once again, I would call it prize fighting- not boxing.

I just like to see fights like Trinidad-Campas where two guys don't waste time with all this movement nowadays. They go at each other and the best man wins. Simple and easy. And it is edge of your seat stuff. I had no idea who was going to win that one until about the third when Trinidad took over and I was thrilled since he was the one I was going for but either way, it was a great fight and clearly the best on that Chavez-Taylor II card.

Boxing is beautiful because it has such a wide array of styles. If you only enjoy brawls then I suggest you hang around some bars and wait for some **** to pop off. Boxing can stay as it is.

A lot of those fights from the fifties and before were like that. Two guys came right at each other and got to it. It wasn't a bar room brawl. It was a fight. Which is what I am saying. I'm leaving boxing alone. Just saying, maybe like the UFC, give people an option where those who want to actually want to fight instead of box can do so. Doesn't mean brutal, just a real fight is all.
