if you are playing that game boone knocked ward silly so ward has no chance. ggg isn't worried about getting hit and ward is. ward has to be perfect and its impossible to be perfect against ggg beause he's so skilled. froch wasn't even pressuring ward and he faded badly in the last 3 rounds. he also faded against kessler who is not a pressure fighter. his form became ragged and he had to hold nonstop(unpunished) when ggg applies pressure ward will fold up quickly. also ward is being matched very carefully avoiding guys like bute and stevenson(guys that wanted to fight him at 168) golovking has tried to fight every 160 contender so in the ducking game ward is clearly leading.Comment

GGG has a good shot at knocking Ward out, if we're honest. What's his trainer supposed to say? The contrary?Comment

I know it sounds like excuses but rumour has it GGG had flu and little sleep for that fight, he might have mentioned it.Comment

Based on his brutal KO's of Adama, Geale, Ishida, Rubio, Stevens, Rosado. Sure he can, he KO's Ward, Froch, Dirrell, and every other SMW that dares step in the ring with GGG.
That's not only Hunter though, that's what many fans(who are not trolling), odds makers and journalists/experts would say; in regard to Ward beating GGG.Comment

why can't ward challenge himself and move up? he said he couldn't fight kovalev because kovalev wasn't a ppv fighter.....ward's not a ppv fighter either! he's got a bad case of the quillin's.Comment

If GGG beat Ward you'd be on suicide watch.Based on his brutal KO's of Adama, Geale, Ishida, Rubio, Stevens, Rosado. Sure he can, he KO's Ward, Froch, Dirrell, and every other SMW that dares step in the ring with GGG.

Boone was insanely powerful though, and durable, Ward had 6 pro fights. Boone has a lot of losses, but a very low percent of those losses were by KO, and he can punch like hell. Boone fought guys like Kovalev, Stevenson, Lara, Pascal, E. Rodriguez, Curtis Stevens, and didn't get KO'ed by any of them in his prime. On top of that Kovalev only managed to "win" an SD against him in their first fight, that was apparently close enough to warrant a rematch. I haven't seen that fight, so that's why I quote 'win', cause I don't know what actually happened in that fight and why it would need a rematch if Kovalev really won a clear but close decision. It's funny how Ward resolves his promotional issues and instead of talking about GGG he's talking about tune-ups. Loeffler & Prince talked at the Klitschko/Jennings presser, they agree the fight should happen in 2016.

Ward will need 12 rounds to beat Golovkin, where Golovkin can end the fight at any time.
Heck at very least Ward will struggle to win a decision. He schooled Froch and still had two judges with 113-115 scores.
Ward lacks punching power
-see fights with hopeless opponents Andy Kolle, Henry Buchanan, Edison Miranda & Allan Green, where Ward lands everything he has with nothing coming back and these guys remain upright.
Ward can be hurt
-see final 20seconds of 4th with Boone, final minute of 12th with Bika, and 3rd with Abraham.
Ward getting clipped by SMW's and getting stunned or hurt doesn't mean a MW can come up and do the same. Thurman packs a punch at 147, I doubt he can go up to 154 and the top 10 guys there crumble at his power the same as WW's do. We saw Andrade dropped by Martirosyan, doesn't automatically make him susceptible to a KO by Thurman or some other WW puncher like Maidana.Comment

Ward has been in the ring 6 times since 2009, including not at all last year, and once a year in the two years before that. He also has kind of a middling KO record, and I've always viewed him as articulate but p4p overrated. I do believe a GGG fight would mark the beginning of his official full time career as a commentator. If anybody can bring the pain it could well be GGG he's so unorthodox and always in a position to punch. However I think it's abit over the top Abel predicting a KO of arguably the best super middleweight of the past, present and future. If it was Kovalev the man from the heavier division I wouldn't grimace if anyone predicted a stoppage.
