Damn so Saunders got a six figure payday to step aside

Al haymon making sure everyone gets paid
I was kind of hoping it would come out of quillin purse I mean that was his title and he vacated it

Saunders intimated on twitter that he received a six-figure sum to allow Lee-Quillin to go through as a title fight - a pretty darn good payday for not even having to lace 'em up.

"And if I didn't step aside Andy lee was vacating his world title," Saunders wrote. "I want to fight a champion. Not for vacant belt."

Andy Lee would knock Saunders out cold. He just got a nice payday and postponed the end of his career.

Said his next fight is in the States and Warren did just win the EBU purse bid against Sorro.

Him being on the undercard leads me to believe he could get next but i'm not going to assume WBO will keep their word

Dan Rafael said it before, that Lee could vacate in order to stop Saunders fcking up his money. Lee will make over a million dollars fighting Quillin in Brooklyn. He was determined to make the fight happen.

Now everyone is happy. Lee Is happy he gets his Million dollar fight liveon NBC.
Haymon is happy he has a great card of boxing along with Garcia V Peterson
Saunders is happy he got a huge step-aside check and still has his title shot.
And Quillin is the ****** idiot who blew $700,000 vacating a belt he is now trying to win back.

What guarantee was there that Lee would still get the fight if he vacates his belt?

Even if the fight still went on, there's no way he'd get the same money or more than Quillin.

It is a deal that works for everyone, which is why the deal played out like that.

Billy Joe ends up making out like a bandit as the only thing it costs him is time and the guy is still only 25 so he can easily afford to wait. When everything shakes out he is still in prime position as long as he doesn't blow it.

Lee-Quillin is a solid New York fight which is dangerous for both guys (as in either guy could hurt the other), which makes for a good TV fight.

No surprise. Haymon gave Sam Soliman 1 million dollars to fight jermaine taylor just so Golovkin couldn't unify and take that belt.

That's if the WBO play through and keep their word.

I think that that's what they're gearing up for though.

Saunders seems confident his next fight is in the States and it's rumored to be on the undercard.

I think his next opponent is Sorro since Warren just won the EBU, so if it does happen, that'll be good
