JEFF LACY = Old School MIKE TYSON

I know probably all you guys were watching the HBO PPV, but my cheap ass was watching the Showtime Tripleheader. But Jeff Lacy whooped some ass last nite!

This guy is a bad and scary man! You should've seen those Tyson-esque uppercuts he was throwing...god damn! He bent at the knees and threw all his weight into those punches - reminded me of the character Ryu & Ken in that game street fighter whenever they threw the flying uppercuts!

He's also very smart. He figured out his southpaw opponent and ****ed up his lip.

He took some WICKED shots from Vanderpool to the body and chin. Dude this guy is the real deal. He's kinda of a mix between Tyson and Holyfield.

Who do you think is out there for this young kid? They said Calzaghe, but I've seen Calzaghe fight and he throws wide punches and is vulnerable to getting knocked out. I'd say that one guy from HBO Taylor-something should fight Lacy.

Calzaghe doesn't want any part of the kid with 18 fights who would kill him.

I posted a thread that this was a fight of the year candidate and no one responded. I guess everyone skipped to the Wlad spectacle and left the rest of the Showtime card alone.

    How sad.

The Lacy fight had the most excitement and energy out of the 3 fights.

Wlad has the weirdest defence/holding strategy. He just holds and jumps in too much. He's gonna get KO'd if he keeps doing that at the wrong time.

Ouma has a rock hard chin. Or maybe Verno slaps really hard lol.

Lacy is good but nowhere near as good as a young Tyson, but then again you might never see another fighter in your lifetime who has the talent of a young Tyson.

Lacy looked alright, but no spectacular. When Vanderpool boxed him Lacy couldn't do anytthing.

Lacy just walks right in he has no jab whatsoever

on the flip side NO ONE can **** with him, he's strong as it gets and if your gonna stand in fron of him you have no chance.

168 is pretty thin and If someone wanted to rank him #1 in the division I wouldn't argue.

Lacy will have trouble with strong, boxer/punchers that move well. He will annihilate anyone who sits in front of him and slugs. I wonder what he'll do next...?

Yea he probably is 1-dimensional, but he only has 18 fights! This kid is still RAW...wait till he gets some more fights and experience. I think he's only 25 or 27.

The dude he was fighting looked like a light heavyweight too, and Lacy was able to take his power punches nicely.

Few more years he'll be polished up enuff to give Jermain Taylor a good whooping

Hmmmm that's a tuff one. I dont know, really never saw Cotto as a Tyson like fighter. Cotto tucks his chin too much, dont think Tyson ever had a defence like that. However, if you saw the facial expressions of Lacy after every round he was mean mugging into the camera and into Vanderpool's face...lol that' was krazi. Also, check out how Lacy was throwing those uppercuts! Man those were VICIOUS! He never really did hit Vanderpool flush w/100% power, but he was looking to kill him w/one of them.

Dont know who else is in the 168lb division other than Calzaghe. Maybe Hopkins moves up to fight Lacy, but he's HBO fighter so is Jermain Taylor. Lacy has no choice but to move and chase Calzaghe.
