    On March 13th former welterweight champion Shawn Porter (24-1-1, 15KOs) will face Roberto Garcia (36-3, 23KOs) on Spike TV's inaugural boxing card. Andre Berto will face Josesito Lopez in the main event.

    Porter is currently in the middle of his training camp and is looking to put on a great show in Ontario, California. The fight is part of Al Haymon's new "Premier Boxing Champions" series that airs on both NBC and Spike TV.

    BoxingScene.com had a brief conversation with Porter's father and trainer Kenny to get an update on Shawn's camp.

          Not very chivalrous, dude and besides that, I think you're wrong; Brook put on a great performance and clearly won the fight, but it wasn't an utter domination like say, Ward over Froch or Floyd over Hatton or MAB over The Prince, etc...

          Porter was close to entering the upper tier of fighters around his weight and blew it. He strikes me as a determined dude. Can't remember if I've seen the comeback opponent right off hand, but I don't think I'd wanna be him on fight night.

              Porter stll has a lot of flaws as a boxer. He needs to improve on them. I wouldn't mind a fight with Bradley.

                      Garcia being overlooked here, dude is durable as hell and I dont think old horseteeth is really going to hurt him.

                              Garcia Over-Rated, Laid Down In His Last Fight; Porter Will Blow Him Up!

                              This is a great fight for Porter to bounce back on. Would live to see Porter blow this guy up then fight Tim Bradley, which would make for a real war.

                                  Definitely being over looked. Porter is going to have a hard time backing Garcia up !
