We was the better fighter but obviously doesn't have the better resume.

Make no mistake about it though, Wlad's career only went the way it did because Vitali retired. Period.
no...back up mang...I'm on your side.

Look at my first post in this thread or search my post history if you like. Of the 2 brothers I think the one that is most competitive with the best heavies from my lifetime is definitely Vitali.

Wladimir Klitschko HW champion for 9 years and counting and Vitali for 5 years.

Wladimir has only had the career he has had because of Vitali's injury layoffs. Had Vitali stayed healthy and fought all those years, Wladimir would have continued to be a lesser titleist.

            I agree with both posts.

The Klitschko's records PALE in comparison to Ali's. Hell, Wlad has only defended the *real* HW Championship TWICE. He's got a LONG way to go in order to match or surpass Ali...

                Says who? Americans?

                63-3 >>>>>>56-5

                9 year reign >>>>>> 3 year reign

Wladimir has fought the best heavyweights from all over the world, Ali just fought the same 3-4 Americans over and over again.

                  LOL.

Wlad has not reigned for 9 years, Genius. Wlad didn't win the lineal HW championship until his victory over Povetkin. That IBF titile Wlad has been posing with was/is MEANINGLESS and didn't even exist in Ali's day.

Ali has Ws over @ least *3* legitimately GREAT heavyweights. Who in the hell has Wlad ever beaten?

Besides that, Ali never got KTFO'ed while on his way up the ranks or in/near his prime like Wlado did.

                  Ali >>> Klitschko

Klitschko fans have always been in love with the numbers. Their criteria to become a boxing historian=be good at math.

                      Ali >>> Klitschko
The IBF is a fully recognized world title and means far more than a WBA or the mexican/american biased WBC title does these days with their "DIAMOND/SILVER BELT" and "regular" champions

By the way, Wladimir won the WBA from David Haye in 2011, not Povetkin, dummy. So even when I use your own ******ed logic, he's still held the title for longer than Ali.

Just because Ali wasn't dominant enough to hold the title for more than 3 years doesn't mean that his opponents were some how in another league compared to Wladimir's.

Ali was out boxed and got his jaw broken by Leon Spinks who only had 7 professional fights. Imagine if Povetkin only had 7 pro fights and beat Wladimir, you would jump all over him.

a 5'11 BRAWLER Joe Frazier beat up Ali

Foreman is built up as this legendary world beater heavyweight, but who did he really beat? Is anyone really impressed that a 6'3 260lbs brawler like Foreman beat a 5'11 230lbs brawler like Frazier?

Wladimir Klitschko would beat the utter sht out of Ali and you know it. Unlike Foreman, Wladimir's not going to gas out while beating the sht out of him.
