Cotto is the lineal MIDDLE WEIGHT champion. GGG is the #1 rated MIDDLEWEIGHT fighter at the moment and the one most people agree that should be the top guy in the division.

Canelo is a super welter/Jr Middleweight champion.

Cotto/GGG need to fight to see who the true middleweight is. Otherwise he's just going to hold the championship hostage.

I would love a Cotto/GGG fight to determine a real middleweight champion...but I doubt Cotto would actually do it. I think GGG wins by KO/TKO and doubt it would go past the 8th rd. It's a shame GGG can't get a fight that would give him the lineal belt when almost everyone already believes he takes it easy...if GGG could unify the division than he would be more likely to move up and take on harder challenges which would be great for the sport.
