Dirrell is not the same fighter he was when he fought Froch.

Maybe one sat on his face a squashed it flat while the other worked his gilmore a touch vigorously?

That was not bad admittedly but you should try a joke per month because you're much more miss than hit.

On topic...are you suggesting DeGale is lying about the injury? Wouldn't make much sense. He is performing the best of his career against better opposition. He's moving a lot better and isn't laying on the ropes.

never seen this DeGeale guy fight, gonna have to check him out cuz i'm ten toes deep for my boy Dre Dirrell on this one, even though Dirrell knocked his last opponent out he looked a little rusty and got hit a little too much for my liking

Dirrell should win on paper. But degale has had two decent performances in his last two fights. I really want degale to do good because he was basically on his way to becoming the next audley Harrison but he's switched it around. If he wins I'd be excited to see ward vs degale.

Maybe but neither is Froch and I would pick them both to beat Degale

Froch is still great. Dirrell hasn't been tested since the Abraham fight. And based on how he looked against Edwards, he's in for a tough, tough night against DeGale. Funny thing is, both Dirrell and DeGale are two great amateurs who just haven't developed the way they should have in the pros. But if the DeGale who fought Groves shows up, Matrix is in trouble.

He's a much better fighter than what he showed against Groves. I think Dirrell is incredibly talented on his day too so it'll be a tight fight IMO.

I know. And I think his confidence is peaking while Dirrell still looks a little spooked. Don't get me wrong, Dirrell is no joke. His footwork and hand speed are going to be major problems. But if DeGale can remain consistent each round, he can catch him. Truthfully, I'm psyched for this fight and I'm surprised to see it possibly coming to fruition so soon. Hope it comes off.
