    Exactly what boxing didnt need

I'm sorry, but the fight last night was exactly what boxing didnt need. A Snoozer with no clear winner. I felt like i was watching a John Ruiz fight. NO action, nothing. All we saw were Shoulder Rolls, Fat rolls, and two fighters leaning on each other. The fight last night shows just how bad the Heavyweight division is. Maybe i'm crazy, but a Heavyweight champ shouldn't be tired after the 2nd round.. And a Heavyweight champ shouldn't expect to win a fight Solely on leaning and jabbing.

Thank God the people at HBO offered that fight for Free. Could you imagine paying $50 for that fight??

If this is what boxing has come to and that's all I can expect in the heavyweight division then they just lost a fan. That's bull****! This fight was 100% crap. Nether of these guys are worthy of wearing that belt. The heavyweight division reminds me of the Special Olympics lol.

I dont know how anyone could call last night Impressive. Regardless of who you think won, i thought Rahman should have gotten the decision, nothing was impressive last night.

The heavyweight champion use to be the staple of boxing. Muhammed Ali, George Foreman, Tyson, Holyfield.. These were the best of the best. The fighters that the masses flocked to see. You're telling me Toney or Rahman embody that after that mess last night.

I agree, the fight was a little boring. The only exciting thing about it was at the end, I thought that we would be a step closer towards unification. The HW division did not need this.

It seems as if you dont appreciate the sweet science of boxing. I thought it was a very good fight. What fight were you watching last night? John ruiz fight compared to this? no action? lol, I saw a lot of punches thrown by the heavyweight champion, and james using his oldschool skills to create counter opportunites. you know those shoulder rolls are what prevented rahman from landing his right hand at will, without getting a counter right hand/combo from toney. James fights good on the inside. I enjoy seeing james vetran skills, he is a great fighter and even though he was out of shape, he still displayed it last night. Rahman gave it everything that he had. Tired after the second round? Rahman threw alot more punches than what he normally does. He didn't seem that tired at all, he was in great shape. He had a good performance against a vetran, a one of a kind fighter, and toney used his skills to overcome the advantages that rahman had over him like.. reach. Seemed like an interesting fight to me.

I do appreciate the sweet science of boxing. Just do me a favor and watch some of the fight of Mike Tyson from the 80's. That is PURE Boxing. Rahman threw more punches.. Yes that is true. ANd if you think Boxing is about little rabit punches to the Body when you are leaning on another fighter, then you are correct.

In no way am I trying to bash James Toney. He's a great fighter. He's one of the best fighters on the inside. His uppercuts are fantastic. And if he was in shape last night, who knows. But you can't tell me you would enjoy watching the fight last night again. And to call it a very good fight is reaching.

It's sad that Heavyweight Boxing has come to this.
