Comments Thread For: Alexander Hopes NBC/Spike Deals Lead To More Activity

Former three time champion Devon Alexander (26-3) is among the many fighters who are excited to potentially have the opportunity to fight on network television.

The Al Haymon advised fighter who has fought regularly on both HBO and Showtime sees a big opportunity at NBC. Not only is it good for the sport but it also is a chance for the fighters to reach different segments of the population and hopefully gain more fans.

I can't believe Devon is excited about anything nowadays. Honestly I clicked on the article to make sure they weren't talking about Devon Alexander and yep they talking about Devon Alexander lol. Devon has let me down too many times. Every time...every fcking time lol lord fck it never fcking fails!

Devon you're a decent fighter and that's it. You'll never be elite. And you'll never win the big fight. If you were you would have done so by now. You lost everytime lol every fcking time man. A 2nd place third place finisher your whole career. Had nerve to say Floyd scared of you because you black lol you fcking moron!

I am disappointed in Alexander after the Khan fight. He looked lost and like he had no idea what to do. It might be time for a new trainer.

Alexander isn't exciting, people tend to be very bored by his fights. His losses aren't the problem, this is. If you're not exciting you better keep winning, and if that don't happen, you got nothing.

I could see Alexander getting an undercard spot somewhere or a place on a spike tv fight, but Haymon is not going to put Alexander in a fight that needs excitement.

This is the downside to being with Haymon, if you're not at the top, you're just a pawn for other guys. Still think Alexander is a fantastic fighter that could defeat many fighters, and he had no chance at all against Khan, but he should've adapted and done better against Porter.

Remember, Brook even barely beat Porter. The UK commentators had Porter winning that fight. Still, Porter is kinda crap, just strong and unorthodox.

alexander is boring. pitty pat punching is not the way to lure more fans. people that tune into boxing on nbc will be put off if what they see is alexander throwing jabs going "ha ah ah" every 5 seconds while creating no excitement
