Its the same in Canada. They still swear allegiance to the Queen. Doesn't mean British rule, just means they recognize the British Queen as their own Queen. Doesn't mean anything. Just the conditions they agreed to have their own rule.

Tons of countries still do this or have the union jack in their flag, Fiji an african country still has the union jack, so does NZ and a couple others.

This is embarrassing for Mayweather. Australia has ESTA, for Americans they can get a tourist visa immediately, on the spot. This means Mayweather has been denied visa.

Khan was once denied a visa to the US and the PM of Great Britain personally ensured Khan got a longterm visa and chewed out the Americans.

... Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other smaller former British colonies convened to conserve some symbols (and benefits) of the "defunct" empire... Which is a good thing...

      • To be fair, Australia has been very strict about things that could negatively influence their growing youth. They have banned all sorts of violent video games and movies believing it's a bad influence on their youth, so the kids often have to pay a premium and order these things from overseas.. They seem much more strict than UK or US.. It's understandable why they would deny Floyd, the guy is a bad influence, to say the least.

Pacquiao has 5 losses on his record. If he loses to Mayweather which he most likely will, so what.

It Is more logical to think that Mayweather fans would be a little more rattled for this fight being that Mayweather has a chance of losing that undefeated record that he cherishes so much.
My only guess is some diehard Manny fans couldn't handle him losing to Floyd. The aftermath of the jmm and Tim losses showed how emotionally charged some of you get. You've invested heavily in hating Floyd. Losing may send some of you over the edge.

If you say no big deal, ok. Pac boy, check hooks, spoon23, godfr33, and those guys-i think not.

Maybe some are. But Floyd fans are not posting day in about the fight not happening. The ones doing that are the Manny fans I mentioned.

          If that's not you, fine.

          • Floyd has been arrested seven times for beating females.

            http://www.theguardian.com/commentis...-mayweather-in

            Quotes from the article:

"As Phil Lutton points out, Mayweather has been arrested or cited by police in seven assaults against five different women."

"Mayweather’s history of domestic violence began in 2001, just a month after dedicating his fight against Diego “Chico” Corrales to “all the battered women in the world.” He allegedly closed a car door on his then-partner Melissa Brim before repeatedly punching her while she lay on the back seat. Not six months later he punched Brim in the neck at a Las Vegas shopping centre. He pleaded guilty and received a suspended sentence."

"In 2003 Mayweather allegedly punched two friends of his then-partner (and the mother of several of his children) Josie Harris in a nightclub and shook a female security guard. He was issued a citation and found guilty of two counts of battery, though the verdict was vacated and the charges were “dismissed per negotiations.”"

"The same year he allegedly pummelled Harris and dragged her from a car by her hair, though she later dropped the charges and testified that she had lied to police. Mayweather bought Harries a $500,000, 25-carat diamond ring shortly afterwards."

OUCH!!! "So should Australia bar Mayweather? What’s to gain from him visiting? He’s a disgusting, unrepentant assaulter of women and his “I do what I want-ism” is totally undesirable. America might be stuck with him, but I don’t see why we should welcome him and allow him to make money in our country."

OUCH!!! "Please Floyd, concentrate on fighting Manny. We’ll be fine without you. No, really."

Let me rephrase what I said. I meant "African-AMERICAN".

Not Africans, but Americans, and African Americans in particular. From the inner city. Successful, urban African AMERICANS from inner cities always get hated on for being successful, rich and black.

Jay-Z? He gets a pass for his well documented philanthropic efforts.

*****? Please. The dude was born in Kenya. Automatically disqualifies as an African-American, and he's half caucasian.

Oprah? She is a woman. Doesn't qualify as a successful "black man".

LOL so being arrested SEVEN TIMES for beating up females is "unfairly hating" on a "successful" urban African-American?

Doesn't matter how you haters try to spin it and try to smear Money May. Australians are all a bunch of criminals anyway. History 101 - Australians were trespassers and criminals in Egypt, then the Pharaoh saw the jails were getting to full and shipped em all out to Australia.

So when a country full of nothing but criminals denies Floyd entry, the only logical explanation is straight up Player Hating.

                  • Damn......guess Floyd can't go announce his fight against Soliman now. Oh well, time to announce you fight against Ray Robinson, at least this way you can pretend you beat the real deal.
