You know what happened? Manny ducked the fight because of testing, that's what. And I thought he was oh so wrong. And I thought what transpired was disgusting.

i think u're looking into the whole bob/floyd hates eachother thing too much. if manny loses to floyd, will there be any jealousy? of course! bob would want his fighter to win, who wouldnt? but this whole bob would rather die blah blah blah is just too much LOL.

Obviously "would rather die" should be taken as the phrase is usually used in discussion with rational adults.

Floyd leaving cost Bob millions. Manny coming to TR made a lot, but not all, of it back. I think a loss to Floyd would be much more devastating to Bob. With his money, its surely more about pride.

I hope so, I was replying to "Schoolthecats" or whatever his name is who tried to say it would be Pac-Vargas. It obviously won't be.

My point is that Floyd is the one under pressure because he's insisting on the May 2nd date and it's unlikely Showtime go up against Canelo with another 800k opponent (if it even does that with Canelo as comp).

I don't know why he wants the May date so badly but it's clear he values it for whatever reason.

Lemieux vs anyone decent on the undercard is a good fight. Boxing fans like action and Canelo-Kirkland is guaranteed action.

Mattthysse is totally unproven at 147. Pacquiao needs to start fighting top welterweights or move down.

I think Manny fans want a win over Floyd more than they do any other. I think Bob would rather die than have Floyd, a guy who left him and didn't follow the SRL/ODH model Bob created, beat Manny, a non American fighter he took from Murad and built into the biggest PPV fighter other than Floyd or ODH using that same model.

Then explain why he tried to make this fight, why bother the head of CBS to get him involved?

You know what else is funny, Mak? I used to be a huge fan of Floyd (as I am now). But I was turned off by what he did in 2006-7. So when I joined this boards, I probably bashed him as hard as anybody. Then this fight came around and by gosh, Manny and his team were disgraceful. I can understand being a fan of a fighter. But that doesn't mean you can't be objective too. I'm stepping out for a lunch. Let's just hope this fight pops off.

Hasn't that line gotten old and as disproved as Manny being on PED's? we know Manny walked away from the fight at first just as we know Floyd apologized in court.
