Chris deserves top dollar. He was just in a fight with Pacquiao where he got 1.5M, now he's facing the likely fighter of the year for a title. He should be getting at least half of what he got for facing Pacquiao.

Everyone gets their asses kicked by manny pacquiao. Not many people beat Ruslan Provodnikov and completely school Emmanuel Taylor in the same year. Adrien Broner almost lost to Taylor while Algieri shut him out. Algieri is number 1 WBO because he was stripped of the title when he went to fight Pacqiao. Algieri earned that title and the number 3 Ring magazine rating at junior welterweight where he still is today. Algieri did a PPV fight with Pacquaio that sold around 475k. ppv's according to HBO president Hershman in an interview here on boxing scene. He should get at least 750k for a fight. Alvarado lost to Marquez, Provodnikov, and Brandon Rios and still made 750K to fight Rios after all those losses. He fights for Top Rank who pay their fighters a lot, but Chris Algieri is the number 1 contender who has only lost once to the best fighter in the world on ppv, and has beaten some other top contenders and actually won a world championship belt which they had stripped from him. Haymon is scared to put his fighters in with Algieri that is the bottom line. I bet algieri will make that much money for his next fight. AL haymon always does soft touches for his fighers its b.s. and hes still doing it. He has only made 2 somewhat competitive matches on his NBC cards that we know of, and other than that its been a bunch of mismatches like always.

Man this sucks...24 hours ago I was pumped for a card with Walters fighting on the undercard then Algieri/Crawford...and now neither is gonna happen. Chris needs to wake up and realize he got completely outclassed on the biggest stage...if he thinks he's going to keep getting paid superstar money, he won't get any fights.

Thats Because its Manny Pacquiao. That loss made him a better fighter than what he was before. Crawford is more his speed. Algieri will take him to school.
