Comments Thread For: Terence Crawford-Chris Algieri Not Looking Likely

A potential junior welterweight fight between Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KOs) and Chris Algieri (20-1, 8 KOs) is not likely, according to sources with knowledge of the negotiations.

Crawford was the WBO's champion at 135-pounds and plans to move up in weight for a planned return on March 21. The HBO televised fight is being targeted to take place at The Theater in New York's Madison Square Garden.

Chris Algieri asking for too much money? Crawford vs Humberto Soto, win over Soto will give Crawford the WBC Silver title & a future world title match with current champion Danny Garcia if he stay at 140

Too bad. It would be a good fight between two young Americans.

D@mnit Algiei! Get your head out of your @ss and focus on landing this fight. Crawford in my opinion has a bright future at 140 and 147. A win for Algieri over Crawford would do a lot for his current stock. Not to mention he would be a champion again. He needs to stay away from guys at 147 right now and focus on regaining his belt at 140.

Losing to Pac gave him a sense of entitlement to big purses

Good, Algieri didn't deserve the PAC fight and doesn't deserve this fight. Pointless fight.

750k is entirely too much, especially when you consider all you're gunna get from the guy is 4 rounds.

Being stripped of his title was complete bull****, but I'm not really interested in this fight either.
