  • Comments Thread For: Don King Ordered to Pay Ryabinskiy Over $1.5 Million

The fallout from last year’s canceled rematch between cruiserweights Guillermo Jones and Denis Lebedev has officially concluded with Don King being ordered to pay more than $1.5 million to fellow boxing promoter Andrey Ryabinskiy, according to Reuters.

The bout was canceled on the day of the April 2014 event after Jones once again tested positive for furosemide, the banned diuretic and potential masking substance for which he had tested positive after stopping Lebedev in May 2013. The World Boxing Association had pulled its sanctioning of the rematch. [Click Here To Read More]

At his age, if I was King, I would just extend the case until I'm gone from earth. Let my kids pay for it.

Normally I would feel bad for an old man getting kicked around like this at the end of his career & life, but this vile stain deserves even worse.

Well, his kids, or whoever is set to inherit his estate, would suffer the same either way.

1.5 million less they are going to inherit regardless...

All they'd do is take it from his estate after he dies.

Sorry, I know it's bad karma, but I find no pity for the old geezer. Especially when you look at the stacks of fighters he skroo-ed over. A nasty darkness will leave the sport when he's no longer involved in it. And thing is, the guy could've done fine just off profits from running a fair biz. He could've made serious money treating his fighters with respect. There was never any need for him being as slimy as he's always been.
