Then later against Omar Sheika he was getting caught by an experienced boxer with decent pop and getting stunned.

I forget when it was that he left Rodger Bloodworth to go train under Freddy Roach at the Wildcard, but it was reported by Doug Fischer that he got hurt pretty bad and had blurred vision for a month. After it cleared up he left Roach and moved back to Florida to reunite with Birmingham and won his title.

I think his end came after the Calzaghe fight when he had his rematch with Tyspko. Jeff tore his left shoulder, that forever impaired his money punch, guys never fully recover from a torn shoulder, just like Forrest was never the same fighter.
Yeah Calzaghe ruined him pretty bad and then his shoulder-injury ruined him even more.

Just saw this fight on youtube. Hard to watch. I hope Lacy finds another way to make money because he's done as a fighter.

Joe was deducted a point in the 11th, that accounts for the "119" scores
        Thanks. I'll make the fix.

Man that quote by Danny Williams sure hits hard. Interesting how there's so much of both admiration and pity for a guy who puts himself through hardship (and embarrassment) to support his family. Well to be fair he's putting them through private school, but still, pride might be the hardest thing to sacrifice.
