If not true then Cotto should refute it. Why would Arum flat out say that Cotto told him this and burn his bridge for future million dollar paydays if it isn't true? Arum may be no angel but I don't see him making something like this up out of thin air. On the contrary, Cotto is quite the diva lately and I can see him pulling out over something like this.

Again, kirkland fought ONCE in 2013 and DIDN'T fight at all last year and he's somehow a better choice than clottey who has been active?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA You need to watch more boxing instead of just watching your favorite fighters
I should learn to score a fight? LMAO this is coming from an idiot who sincerely believes Trout beat Canelo. No one that knows **** about boxing actually believes this, unless of course they are Kneeguel Jotto fans that can't come to terms that he got schooled by Trout. An absolute boxing lesson. 10-2. Deal with it.

        • Just ask Sergio how much of a diva Cotto is at the negotiating table. Cotto was constantly threatening to cancel the fight if every little demand wasnt met.

Exactly. And this is when he wasn't the champion, imagine the Diva **** he was pulling this time around as the champ in a Mexico VS Puerto Rico rivalry.

            • Once Pacquiao vs Mayweather gets announced, I bet Canelo all of a sudden will revisit talks with Cotto for a fight in June. It's writing on the wall to happen that way, but it makes fanatics feel better to say someone is ducking. I mean, it's pretty clear what Cotto is waiting on. Hell, the entire boxing community is waiting on this announcement before future plans are made. From my view, the only person being a "diva' is Canelo for ignoring what Pacquiao and Mayweather decide. By withdrawing talks and complaining to media, he's acting like a spoiled kid that's not getting what he wants, so he throws a fit.

I don't see what one thing has to do with another. Oscar made it quite simple. We'll negotiate for a May 2nd date. If Floyd/Pac happens for May 2nd, then we'll move off the date. If its Floyd vs anyone not named Pacquiao then we'll stick with May 2nd.

There were weeks of discussions to make a fight with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez for May 2nd. Those talks fell apart two weeks ago when Canelo's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, made a decision - pursuant to his fighter's wishes - and told Cotto's team they were moving on.

I find it oddly funny that Oscar and GBP, as Alvarez's promoter, allows Alvaraez to dictate to him who he wants to fight and when. On the other hand, Top Rank, as Pacquaio's promoter, tells Pacquaio who he will fight, when and for how much money.
