If Morales got the nod in the second Barrera fight?

Morales arguably won the rematch (TBF, many believe he lost the first fight). But if he did get the decision in the second fight, it's not hard to think that his career would've gone a different route. He still would've been undefeated since his first two losses were against Barrera. There would not have been a third fight because trilogies never happen when one fighter is already up 2-0 (as far as I know). Morales' first non-Barrera loss didn't happen until 2005, 3 years after the second Barrera fight.

I never saw the first fight as a bad decision, it could have gone either way. The second decision was worse for me.

What if he would've also lost the 1st one???

You can't do these "if" dream matches. It is what it is and out of the two, Barrera won 2-1. I believe morales was the better boxer but in their trilogy Barrera got the better of him

What if? Well nothing would've changed.

What difference would it make if the result didn't happen? Okay, so they had two fights, instead of 3. So what?

They're still Mexicans who eat punches to give punches, and would've still worn out at the same rate. Wouldn't be much different at all.

Morales should've retired instead of being Garcias punching bag.
