Does Haymon have any rights to the footage from their previous fights? That normally belongs to the promoter doesn't it? Which in this case is GBP.

Might explain the unusually sterile and somewhat dull advert.

We don't really have this kind of promo in the UK, so I couldn't compare.

But it does look cheesey and the slo-mo could be an Advert for the new Tarantino film "Reservior Ducks"

No I like him because he has secured 11 cards on network ****ing tv.

I think its been clear UFC's popularity was severley overstated. And when the average age of your watcher is under 18 and doesnt actually watch other sports, you should stay on Spike, not ****ing Fox.
And those UFC fights on network tv, fox tv, were far more competitive and stacked than these Haymon garbage fights.
Umm, simpoly put no they ****ing werent
Network TV is a shell of what it used to be. Cable TV now gets viewing numbers that are bigger than network TV, walking dead has better numbers than most network garbage.
No it doesnt. On Average network tv is king. Naming one highely popular show proves nothing.
Network TV is still popular with old, dying people. No one else gives a fug about network TV. Haymon is a ****** old black man that is out of touch. It is better for boxing if he fails.
Proof, are just a ****ty opinion?

If anyone else outside of Mayweather/Haymon and maybe post Poland Hitler were bringing Boxing back to the masses this place would build a statue for that person. Since it's Haymon, lets hope it fails and maybe in another 15 years boxing could get a chance like this again.

The hate is strong when the hardcore base is cheering for their favorite sport to fail just so they can have a chuckle at the expense of 1 man.
It's truly un****ing believable aint it? And these **** wont back down. They will defend there ****** ass stance til the end.

It's about more than just "free fights" for the masses.. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to rekindle interest and "bring Boxing back" (in the U.S. at least).. To give back to the sport that made him so wealthy. Free fights mean nothing if potential new fans aren't even interested in watching them. What do you think would happen if all these "free fights" turn out to be his usual exhibition crapfest? Would that be good for Boxing? He had a great opportunity here, and the results were disappointing to say the least..

The man doesn't know what he is doing if he truly thought this commercial (or these fights) would bring excitement to casuals and potential new fans to the sport. It looked more like a commercial for a reality show or some male modeling BS. I understand he shouldn't be putting superfights on free TV but he should have debuted his "league" with more of a **** to gain interest.

He has done nothing to suggest that he won't just continue business as usual, turning his fighters into clowns, boxing into a circus, and himself into the richest most powerful man in Boxing. If he proves me wrong, I will be the first to give props, but at the moment I just don't understand how people keep falling for his BS.

                  Pretty much this.

Probably want some boxing footage in a boxing commercial if you want to get the non-boxing fans excited about it.

I completely disagree with everyone here. You guys are speaking for yourselves as hardcore fans. Commercial wasnt great, but it shows the characters of boxing in a way and casuals want that part of it. You have to be interested in the person before the sport.

And I doubt Haymon made or had say in this commercial. It's more likely a NBC production crew.

People are being far too critical. When was the last time we had these caliber of fights on network tv? Far too critical. Give it a ****ing chance. SHow some support to the sport and put your petty ass women bs to the side for a second. For ****s sake. I feel like boxing fans refuse to let things suceed with their worshipping.
