Glad to hear he's going to be able to walk away with his health and respect.

I would've loved to have seen Kessler/Golovkin, but the current version of Kessler is far from the best version and may have taken unnecessary damage.Comment

The guy dominated and retired Beyer, Haussler and Magee. Green and Andrade were never the same post-Kessler. He toughed it out vs Froch and went 1/1 with him. Had some sizzling defenses of the title he won 3-4 times. Manny Steward thought he was exceptional. Not a bad career. Hope you enjoy your post-ring life Champ.Comment

Probably a smart move. Its a reoccurring element in boxing that fighters think they have more to give and that they will be the ones not effected by brain damage.Comment

Rumour has it Kalle Sauerlandl is in LA discussing a possible fight between Mikkel Kessler and Andre Ward .. thoughts ? — ThaBoxingvoice (@ThaBoxingVoice) February 3, 2015

I don't see how there would be any money in this unless Ward agreed to travel to Denmark, and even then it'd be a stretch. Ward needs atleast $2mill and Mikkel would want atleast that much too.

The real question I have is: Would Ward need a tune-up before fighting a guy who's been out of the ring longer than him?Comment
