Bob said the fight was eminent because in the meeting Floyd made Koncz feel like he wants to fight Manny, maybe Floyd wanted it at that time so it was convincing for Koncz who relayed the "good" news to Bob. Arum confuses me with the whole "It's a Mexican holiday" rap. I thought the plan was always to fight at the MGM in Las Vegas. I could see if they were fighting in Mexico City or Cancun. But, how is fighting in the United States close to a Mexican holiday disrespectful to Mexicans?

Would an Atlantic City fight on Saturday, August 15th be disrespectful to India? Maybe we should cancel our own July 4th fights to avoid being disrespectful to citizens of Abkhazia.

I'm not trying to get in the middle of your debate but I wanted to correct you on one of the biggest lies ever told regarding a fighter requesting another fighter to submit to testing to prove that he is/was not on steroids. I'm sure you're familiar with Iron Mike Tyson. Well Mike Tyson's camp requested Evander Holyfield undergo blood tests to prove he was not using steroids. this request was made prior to Mike Tyson going to jail when a fight between the 2 was first negotiated. What prompted the test request was the workouts Lou Duva and Georgie Benton had Evander doing. They had him using this shoulder contraption that provided resistance as he threw punches - a piece of equipment not seen before - in addition to other unconventional exercises. It looked like some Ivan Dragov stuff from a Rocky movie. Being the man Holyfield is, he agree to take the test to prove he was clean. FMJ was not the first to request a potential opponent take blood tests to prove they're clean. Not even close to being the first to request it
